The Letterpress Printers’ Guild has two ways of taking part. If you’re a printer, you can become a Member. If you enjoy letterpress-printed material, you can support the craft by becoming a subscriber.
Members
Following the 2010 Founding Conference, intended for the end of this year,
all new members will be admitted as either a devil or printer. A printers’ devil is the traditional term for a printers’ apprentice. All new members are admitted as a devils, and have to demonstrate quality letterpress printing to their assigned supporters who will propose they become printers. The process is designed to maintain and improve standards of letterpress printing.
Subscribers
Many people enjoy the quality of letterpress printing, but do not print themselves. Our subscribers support the craft through their subscription and in return recieve regular bundles of contemporary letterpress printing; our journal and invitations to our events.
